Blood orange

Lips drenched in red wine
Bare skin touches ocean water, salt
A tear rolling down my cheek
The wind, cold but soothing
The blood-orange sky
Unpeeled and laying its skin bare
A moon appears, just as orange
Conveying a certain sadness
Hidden in its beauty
Feelings long lost, yet drifting back to the surface
And memories, pervading my being
Drifting, fading away with every sip
It’s just another Summer evening

Lost in moments.
